Here is the skull, pretty simple to build using two
pool noodle connectors (details to come later)
![]()
OK the spike, One part pool noodle, one bin lid and a piece of foam.
Trim the top of the pool noodle so that the skull can fit easily on.
![]()
All you need to do is cut a hole in the middle of the lid,
Insert the foam and slide the pool noodle in.

Tape the Foam to the lid so that it is held in place.

And here you have your finished skull and stake.
Below are some basic details and pics of a jugging shield and how to make it as provided by steve.
For those of you not in the know, I've recently been making Dale a shield for Jugging. It's a buckler, about 40cm diameter, and VERY light. The 'board' section of it is made of high impact plastic, instead of the usual wood-based/MDF style prevalent on the field, which makes it extremely light. The sides are pipe insulating foam bound onto the edge, and the first layer on the face is again foam, attached with velcro, so it's both easy to replace, and the shield 'innards' are accessible.
